Welcome to the Johnny Walker Guitars website. If you are looking for a fine custom made classical or flamenco guitar that has a fantastic sound and superb looks, you have come to the right place. It has taken me many years to discover just the right combination of ingredients to achieve the sound I have been looking for, and you will love. There are many variables to control during the construction process. Through study and trial and error, for the most part, I have learned to get a handle on the nebulous variables that control the voice of my guitars. I maintain the classical and flamenco guitar tradition in the construction and appearance of my guitars and also strive to create an instrument that the most discriminating enthusiast will appreciate. You can select the scale length, rosette, neck width and shape, string spacing, flat or raduised fretboard, fretboard extension, and pick out your back and sides wood from my stock, and tuner upgrades.
Classical guitars are somewhat of an anachronism with the six-stringed guitar being developed in Spain in the 1800's and still being built today with only changes or improvements made to enhance playability or the volume or sound. Since the classical guitar is somewhat of a personal instrument with limited volume or voice, I will add a pickup if you so desire. These options are extra cost items and are quoted individually depending on your choice of the options, however the guitars are still acoustic and can be played without the amplification being active. Any of my guitars can include a cutaway for ease of playing. The cutaway "horn" is radiused which is more in-line with the traditional aesthetics of the classical guitar. I also offer 20 and 21 frets as an option for the E1 and B strings.
The prices of my guitars are very competitive for handmade instruments, but considering quality building materials are getting harder to find and becoming more expensive all the time and the fact that it takes several hundred experienced hours to create your very own custom guitar that can be enjoyed for the rest of your life, if cared for, it is worth the price. I am very confident of the quality and tone of my guitars and offer a full money back refund if you are not satisfied with the guitar, returned, less any damage. I also offer an easy payment plan to make owning one my guitars easier and you can also pay via credit card using Paypal. Read below what some of my customers say about my guitars.
I hope you enjoy the website. Please let me know if I can answer your
questions or build you a guitar.
Best wishes,
Johnny Walker
